Secrets: The Polaroid Project

'Who are they? They’re everyone around us.'
This series portrays 15 strangers with their deepest secrets revealed. The physical exposure is symbolic of the metaphorical exposure the people feel. It symbolises how vulnerable and exposed secrets make most people feel. The secrets are written on transparent paper to convey the transparency of secrets. With the help of all the people who volunteered for this project, I hope to convey that people shouldn’t be so afraid to share their deepest thoughts as we may not even realise that the stranger standing on the tube or metro next to us may be facing the same emotional turmoil, conflicting thoughts or difficult situations. My aim is to give people insight and hopefully spark something within them making them open their minds.

‘And now you’re just a stranger with my secrets.’
